Career Day at Cedar Ridge - 5/17/24

CAREER DAY AT CEDAR RIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL
6th, 7th & 8th GRADE

We have been invited on a field trip to join Career Day at Cedar Ridge Middle School. During Career Day, students have the chance to learn about different career opportunities directly from guest speakers who work in a wide range of careers. A nice variety of careers are represented: business, technology, sciences, medical, skilled labor, culinary, emergency services, beauty and many more. Students will select 4 sessions to attend and will learn more about careers that interest them and the skills needed to succeed in those jobs. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about future job possibilities!

However, in order for our 6th, 7th & 8th graders to attend, we have to start our school day earlier than normal. Cedar Ridge holds their Career Day event from 9:00 -11:00 am on Friday, May 17, 2024. We have arranged for a bus to transport our students from Welches Schools at 8:15 am the morning of Friday, May 17th. We will need you to get your child to Welches Middle School by 8:00 am at the latest on Friday, May 17th.

We need to know if you are NOT able to get your child to Welches by 8:00 am that morning so that we can plan accordingly. Please check YES or NO below, or call the school office at (503)622-3165 if you are NOT able to drop your child off at Welches at 8:00 am on Friday, May 17th. If you have marked YES, please also sign permission for them to attend this field trip.

We will be providing students with a sack breakfast to eat on the bus on their way to Cedar Ridge in the morning.
