OUR WILDCAT WISDOM TRAIT FOR APRIL IS INTEGRITY

This month our Wildcat Wisdom trait is integrity. Integrity means being trustworthy. It also means doing the right thing even when it is hard to do so. 

HEARING SCREENING – K-2

We are holding our annual hearing screening for students in kindergarten through second grade. These screenings will be conducted on 4/14/25. 

If you want your child to receive a hearing screening, you do not need to respond to this notification. 

If you do not want your child to receive a hearing screening, please fill out the attached letter and return this letter to your child’s teacher.

KINDERGARTEN KICK-OFF IS NEXT WEEK!

We are excited to announce our Kindergarten Kick-off event coming up on April 15th!
 If you have a child that will be 5 years old on or before August 31st, 2025, then this event is for you!

If you know of a child that will be in Kindergarten this coming year, please encourage the family to contact the school office.
   

Welches Kick-off event will be on Tuesday, April 15th at 5:30 pm at Welches Elementary School.

Please contact the school office at 503-622-3165 if you plan to attend, so we can make sure we have a name tag and materials for your incoming kindergarten student.

ALL SMILES DENTAL TEAM AT WELCHES – WEEK OF 5/12/25

All Smiles Community Oral Health will be providing free dental screenings, sealants, and fluoride at Welches school during the week of May 12, 2025. Healthy teeth are important to your child’s overall health.
 
 A dental screening is a quick look inside your child’s mouth to check the overall health of their teeth. Dental sealants are protective coatings put on the back teeth to prevent cavities and fluoride is a vitamin that is brushed on the teeth to make teeth stronger and prevent cavities.

WELCHES YEARBOOK ORDERING DEADLINE 4/16/25!

Welches Yearbooks are now available to purchase.

There are two ways to purchase a yearbook. 

1. You can order online (see below)

2. You can drop off an envelope in the office that is labeled yearbook (Please include your student's name, teacher name/grade level, and payment in the envelope)

Yearbooks are $16.00 each.

Deadline for ordering is April 16, 2025
