WELCHES WEEKLY UPDATE!
SEPTEMBER 12, 2025
WILDCAT WISDOM FOR SEPTEMBER - SAFETY
This month our Wildcat Wisdom trait is safety. Students will be learning how to be safe at school. Did you know that safety is one of our three school rules? Students can be safe by walking in the hallway, sitting on the bus during their ride home, following directions, practicing fire drills, and following recess rules. Each classroom will create a whole group poster on how to be safe in different areas of the school. A great conversation to have with your student could be about the poster that was created in class.
RAINBOW RUN
Welches Schools' annual Rainbow Run is coming up on Friday, September 26th! This is a colorful jog-a-thon where students collect pledges and show their class spirit.
Money raised from this fundraising event goes directly to the school to fund a variety of activities. Prior year’s funds have gone toward Right Brain Initiative, teacher supplies for classrooms, student incentives for positive behavior, and school facility projects such as water stations and new mats for our Middle School gym. We will continue funding Right Brain Initiative this coming year with your support.
Pledge forms were sent home with students this week. You can pledge by the lap or make a flat donation. Help us make this the best Rainbow Run ever!
We have attached a pledge sheet and an information sheet to this post as well.

NEW SCHOOL COUNSELING NEWSLETTER FOR PARENTS & GUARDIANS
Earlier this week, our K-8 school counselor - Ms. Teresa - sent the first edition of a monthly newsletter that will provide Welches parents and guardians information and resources about the weekly lessons she teaches in each classroom. Check it out!
