WILDCAT WISDOM FOR APRIL IS INTEGRITY

This month our Wildcat Wisdom trait is integrity. Integrity means being trustworthy. It also means doing the right thing even when it is hard to do so. 

KINDERGARTEN KICK-OFF IS COMING SOON!

We are excited to announce our Kindergarten Kick-off event coming up on April 8th!
 If you have a child that will be 5 years old on or before August 31st, 2026, then this event is for you!

If you know of a child that will be in Kindergarten this coming year, please encourage the family to contact the school office.
   

Welches Kick-off event will be on Wednesday, April 8th at 5:30 pm at Welches Elementary School.

Please contact the school office at 503-622-3165 if you plan to attend, so we can make sure we have a name tag and materials for your incoming kindergarten student.

ALL SMILES DENTAL COMING TO WELCHES – WEEK OF APRIL 27TH

All Smiles Community Oral Health will be providing free dental screenings, sealants, and fluoride at your child’s school the Week of April 27, 2026. Healthy teeth are important to your child’s overall health. A dental screening is a quick look inside your child’s mouth to check the overall health of their teeth. Dental sealants are protective coatings put on the back teeth to prevent cavities and fluoride is a vitamin that is brushed on the teeth to make teeth stronger and prevent cavities.

8th GRADE PROMOTION – BABY PICTURES NEEDED!

 One of the favorite features of our 8th grade Promotion Ceremony is the Memory Slideshow. To make it special, we need pictures of the 8th grade students as babies or toddlers. Please send all digital pictures to our slide show coordinator, Stephanie Smith, at ssmith0811@yahoo.com.
 
 Please be sure to include the students' name in the subject line so we can ensure that every student is included in the slideshow.
 
 If you do not have a digital copy but have a hard copy of the picture, send it in an envelope, with the student's name on the back of the picture and on the envelope. We will scan it, and then give the original back to you.
 
 We will be communicating about upcoming planning meetings and promotion details in the coming weeks.

We are excited to be offering Welches Spirit Wear to Welches staff and families.

Welches Schools has partnered with BrewCrew Printing to offer a variety of Spirit Wear.  There are short and long sleeve t-shirts, shorts and sweats and hoodies, in a variety of colors and designs.

To place an order for Spirit Wear you will need to go to the BrewCrew webpage at

All spirit wear orders will be delivered to the school and sent home with students.

You can order items anytime during the school year.

SUPPORT YOUR NEIGHBORS DV GROUP

Clackamas Women's Services is facilitating a Support Your Neighbors workshop and conversation to discuss how we can support domestic violence survivors in our lives and create a safer community together.

We have made some updates to the session based on everyone's feedback, and we invite you to register for this session if you are interested in joining again or if you weren't able to make it into past events.
