WELCHES WEEKLY UPDATE!

Field Trip to Mt. Hood Community College

“Amelia Earhart” Play

The KG-5th grade students of Welches Elementary School are going to see a play, “Amelia Earhart”. The performance will be at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham. We will be attending on Monday, November 9th, 2026. We will leave the school around 9:15am. The play starts at 10:30am and is about 50 minutes long. When the performance is over, we will eat lunch at MHCC. We will then head back to Welches to finish our day. 

The cost of the field trip is $5.00. This includes $3.00 for the play and a $2.00 donation to cover the cost of transportation. Please send the money in with the signed permission slip. If the cost of the trip is an obstacle for your student attending, please contact the office.

Please send a sack lunch with your student (no glass containers). If your child will need a lunch from school, please indicate that below.

We will need a few parent volunteers, and only have availability of 1 parent per class. If you would like to be a chaperone, please indicate that on this form. Your child’s teacher will contact you if your help is needed. Parents wishing to volunteer are reminded they must be on the approved volunteer list.

We are excited to be offering Welches Spirit Wear to Welches staff and families.

Welches Schools has partnered with BrewCrew Printing to offer a variety of Spirit Wear. There are short and long sleeve t-shirts, shorts and sweats and hoodies, in a variety of colors and designs.

All spirit wear orders will be delivered to the school and sent home with students.

You can order items anytime during the school year.
